The house was built around 1930 as a small shoe factory. Later, it was repurposed as a residential home. In early 2018, we purchased the old shoe factory, and after several years of renovation, it was transformed into this charming holiday home with a lovingly designed garden.
The holiday home, with approximately 120m² of living space, a garden, and a large terrace, is available for your exclusive use—you will share the house only with your travel companions.
In the Attic, you will find:
• 1 bedroom with a 1.80m x 2.00m double bed, 32” LCD TV, and LAN access
• 1 bedroom with a 1.00m x 2.00m single bed, desk, and LAN access, with direct access to the terrace
• 1 guest WC with sink
• 1 storage room
On the Upper Floor, you will find:
• Spacious hallway with coat rack and shoe cabinet
• 1 bedroom with a 1.80m x 2.00m double bed
• 1 bathroom with daylight, shower, sink, and toilet
• 1 guest WC with sink
• 1 large dining room with a 3-seat bench and 4 chairs
• 1 fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, filter coffee maker, toaster, kettle, wine glasses, plates, etc.
• 1 pantry with a fridge-freezer combination and a large beverage refrigerator
• 1 large living room with a comfortable sofa, a 55” flat-screen TV, and a book cabinet

Terrace:
6 garden chairs with a table and a large parasol. The chairs can be converted into loungers with a footrest, including suitable cushions. Appropriate lighting is provided
Garden & Surroundings:
Depending on the season, various berries can be harvested in the garden. You are welcome to pick **currants, gooseberries, and blueberries** and enjoy them with your breakfast. **Please handle the bushes responsibly—thank you!
On the **second garden level**, a table with two benches awaits you. Here, you can spend **relaxing hours with a view of Altdahn Castle**, perhaps enjoying a glass of wine.
**Use of the garden is at your own risk.**
Right behind the garden, the **forest begins**. In the evenings, deer often come near the garden fence, while crickets provide a natural concert. A small **footpath leads from the garden gate through the forest** and connects to a hiking trail. From here, you can directly join the **"Hahnfelstour"** and start your hike.
In the courtyard, there is an **aviary with budgerigars**, which chirp cheerfully during the day.
A **marked hiking trail** passes directly by the entrance and is also suitable for cyclists.
As the holiday home is located **at the end of a cul-de-sac, right on the edge of the forest**, there is virtually no traffic noise in the evening.
Enjoy the **peace and quiet** in the garden or on the terrace.
